I just saw a news article about models carrying their own decapitated heads down a runway. I was so stunned I checked to see if the site was satire or not. Then I checked to see if other news agencies I know are real were reporting the same news. They were.
The picture was quite disturbing as a man walked down the runway holding a head with hair and face exactly matching his own. I immediately had an understanding in my spirit: He who is seeking to decapitate you is already defeated. What he has planned against you has already been turned back on him, he just hasn’t realized it yet.
The enemy of our souls seeks to kill, steal, and destroy, but the Lord has said, ” No weapon formed against you shall prosper . . .. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,’ Says the LORD” (Isaiah 54:17).
Psalm 7:15-16 says of those who are against us, “He made a pit and dug it out, and has fallen into the ditch which he made. His trouble shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down on his own crown.” This is the scripture which came to mind when I saw the article. Yes, while there are those who are in the natural world who are against us, I believe the context of the word is the schemes the enemy sets out to accomplish whether through human means or otherwise will not simply fail, but will also take ground back.
Let me emphasize this is not a word about people, but about the spiritual realm. This is a word about those things coming against you having such a turnaround they will bring you increase. Take courage today as your turnaround begins to take shape. Pray this truth into your circumstances and take courage today.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Eph 6:12).
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2Co 10:3-5).
